Carol Hoiles is a truck driver’s wife and works as a PCA at the Casey Hospital, Victoria.
Her husband had a horrific transport accident which resulted in burns to over 70% of his body with hot tar. They endured the WorkCover system and soon after finally returning to driving he was involved in an accident where a car driver committed suicide by crashing head on into his truck. This was followed by PTSD.
Carol has other family members within the transport industry, including her son.
Personally she has also endured the trials and tribulations of being a truck driver’s wife and also supported her husband through the psychological and physical impact of his accidents.
She brings first hand understanding and knowledge to the Foundation and is very caring and compassionate with the clientele.
